In February 2007, Ignacio Ordóñez and Hugo Chiera founded Patagonia Fly Fishing Company, which is engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of fly fishing products and accessories.
Ignacio Ordóñez, an industrial designer graduated from the University of Buenos Aires and founder of OIDESIGN Grupo de Soluciones, inherited the passion for fly fishing from his father and began to fly fish at the age of seven in Patagonian lakes.
Until 2004 Hugo Chiera, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, developed his career with major local and international organizations, in the arena of financial services. In 2005, Hugo confounded Neêlus Innovación Aplicada.
The name Correntoso (Patagonia Fly Fishing Company’s trademark for reels and accessories) was chosen after the Correntoso River, which is located in Villa La Angostura, in the South of Argentina.
