Ignacio Ordóñez, an industrial designer graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and founder of Ordonez-ID an Industrial Design studio, inherited the passion for fly fishing from his father and began fishing at the early age of seven in Patagonian lakes and rives.

Fusing his passion for fly fishing and design, in 2009 he began drafting some ideas that he had in mind about how to improve the fly fishing reels mechanism.  Slowly and steadily his idea got shape and started to stomp in the fly fishing community.

Nowadays, and after several years of design work, perseverance and learning, Correntoso fly reels is a a dream that came true.

The name Correntoso was chosen after the Correntoso River, which is located in Villa La Angostura, Patagonia, in the South of Argentina.
